Have you ever wondered why would you put goat’s milk in homemade soap or why you should even use homemade soap?
The benefit of using goats milk in soap are numerous!
1. Goat milk has Alpha-hydroxy acids which help break down the bond that holds dead skin cells together. Alpha-hydroxy acid is well known for softening skin and leaving it rejuvenated for a younger appearance. 2. Goat milk soap is very moisturizing because it has more fat than cow’s milk. 3. Goat milk has vitamins A,B,C and D, along with protein, calcium, potassium and magnesium.
To make soap you have to have a chemical reaction using lye and oils. This reaction is called saponification and the end result of lye and oil is glycerin and soap. Most commercial soaps have had the glycerin taken out. Basically, all you have left is soap that dries you out and irritates your skin.
I also use pure oils so you don't have to worry about getting clogged pores. Natural essential oils are used for scenting the soap. The fragrance gets your attention and pleases the senses but does not react negatively on 99% of people. I have had many customers tell me that they cannot use fragrance in their soaps. The use of only essential oils in my soaps and lotions lessen significantly any chance of skin irritations.
Finally, some soapers may make claims that goat milk soap will cure your Psoriasis, Eczema and other skin conditions. I won't go so far as to guarantee that but I will say it does help control it and also helps with the itching.
